UEFA has announced that a global tender process will be launched shortly for the distribution and exploitation of the media rights to the newly centralised European qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

For the purpose of this tender, the European and non-European markets will be split into various territories for which UEFA will invite media companies – including broadcasters and agencies – to submit offers for the distribution and exploitation of the media rights to the European qualifiers.

Qualified parties, as defined below, are invited to register their interest by emailing broadcast@uefa.ch.

Qualified parties are:

a) media content distribution organisations that have appropriate infrastructure, reach, resources and strong financial standing to distribute European qualifiers programmes in the relevant countries

b) agencies and other organisations that have the necessary experience in the commercial exploitation of media rights to major sporting properties, along with strong financial standing, sufficient resources and suitably trained and experienced personnel to market the media and related rights and to provide the necessary rights delivery and account management services

UEFA Events SA will manage the tender process and be the point of contact for all prospective bidders.

UEFA Events is a separate wholly owned subsidiary of UEFA authorised to manage UEFA's commercial and event operations activities and specifically the operation of this tender process.
