Argentina team visit House of European Football

President

The Argentina team took a break from preparations for Wednesday's friendly international against Portugal in Geneva to visit UEFA's House of European Football in Nyon.

UEFA's House of European Football in Nyon received distinguished visitors on Monday, when the players, coaching staff and delegation of Argentina's national team paid a visit.

UEFA president Michel Platini took the opportunity to welcome the team and delegation, who have been training at the Colovray Stadium opposite UEFA's headquarters for Wednesday's friendly match against Portugal in Geneva.

Mr Platini was on hand to welcome the visitors, and was delighted to be able to offer Argentina's FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi the match ball for the 2009 UEFA Champions League final in Rome. Messi has a special reason to cherish the ball in question; his second-half header sealed Barcelona's 2-0 win over Manchester United FC in the final.
