Friday 18 September 2015 18.00CETThe UEFA Appeals Body has upheld the one-point deduction imposed on the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and ordered that the HNS play its next two home matches in UEFA competition behind closed doors. The Appeals Body met yesterday, following an appeal lodged by the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) against the decision taken by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) on 23 July 2015, in relation to the racist behaviour (Art. 14 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations) that occurred during the UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying Group H match between Croatia and Italy, which was played in Split on 12 June 2015. The appeal by the HNS was rejected, and the original decision of the CEDB has been upheld. The CEDB had decided to impose a deduction of one point on the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) for the qualifying competition of the 2014–16 UEFA European Football Championship. The HNS has also been ordered to play its next two home matches in UEFA competition behind closed doors, and ordered not to play any of its remaining qualifying games at the Stadion Poljud in Split. In addition, the HNS has been fined €100,000. This decision is final.
