UEFA has announced the selection of SecuTix SA as the IT supplier to implement its new ticketing and hospitality system.
An initial three-year term from 2015 has been agreed, with an option to extend the agreement until 2020. The system will provide the ticketing and hospitality solution for UEFA EURO 2016, the UEFA club competition finals and the UEFA Super Cup.
The contract covers the implementation of a system integrating the needs of ticketing, hospitality and VIP services, as well as interfaces to external systems including payment services, access control and the UEFA finance system.
SecuTix SA, a subsidiary of the ELCA group, is a Swiss company that edits software solutions for sports events, live entertainment and theme park professionals, and also deals with ticketing management, customer relationship management, business intelligence and access control.
The selection was made following a six-month tender process which was launched in February 2013, and which attracted substantial interest from suppliers worldwide, with 30 eligible offers received by the initial deadline.
