UEFA has rejected an appeal by French club LOSC Lille Métropole against a CHF100,000 (€60,742) fine handed down for violation of binding safety and security provisions at the UEFA Champions League tie against Manchester United in Lens on 20 February.
The UEFA Appeals Body came to its decision after studying documents submitted by Lille and hearing the position of the UEFA disciplinary inspector. The first knockout round first-leg match finished in a 1-0 Lille defeat by their English visitors.
