Club Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Club have confirmed details of their media open days prior to this season’s UEFA Europa League final, to be played at the National Arena in Bucharest on Wednesday 9 May. Representatives of the international media will have the opportunity to interview the coaching and playing staff of both teams.
Club Atlético de Madrid (for administrative purposes the ‘home’ team in Bucharest) will hold their media open day on Thursday 3 May at the Vicente Calderón Stadium.
The day will start with a press conference with head coach Diego Simeone at 10:30, followed by a fully open training session at 11:00. After the training session, the players will be available for interview in a mixed zone.
Media wishing to attend should email Tomas Calvo in the media department at email@example.com. The deadline to register is 12:00 CET on Wednesday 2 May.
Athletic Club will also hold their media open day on Thursday 3 May. The day will start at 18:00 at the Lezama training centre and will include a fully open training session, a press conference with head coach Marcelo Bielsa and interview opportunities with players.
Media wishing to attend should email firstname.lastname@example.org by 12:00 CET on Wednesday 2 May.
The two clubs have also announced their pre-match media activity at the National Arena in Bucharest on Tuesday 8 May.
Club Atlético de Madrid will hold their press conference at 18:15, followed by a fully open training session from 19:00 – 20:00.
Athletic Club will hold their press conference at 19:45, followed by a fully open training session from 20:30 – 21:30.
Media activities taking place in the National Arena are accessible only to media accredited to the UEFA Europa League final.
