UEFA Executive Committee decisions Ljubljana

115 – UEFA Champions League Final to go to Moscow

The UEFA Executive Committee took the following main decisions on the first day of its meeting held in Ljubljana, Slovenia:

To award the hosting of the club competitions finals to the following venues:

• UEFA Champions League Final 2008 to the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow

• UEFA Champions League Final 2009 to the Olimpico stadium in Rome

• UEFA Cup Final 2008 to the City of Manchester stadium

• UEFA Cup Final 2009 to the Sükrü Saracoglu stadium in Istanbul

To award the hosting of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2009 to Sweden.

Finally, the UEFA Executive Committee decided to postpone the decision on the appointment of the hosts for the UEFA European Football Championship 2012 until April 2007 to give the bidding associations more time for the fine-tuning of their bids.

Tomorrow, the UEFA Executive Committee will continue its meeting with a number of other topics.
