The draws for the play-off matches in the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League will take place on Friday 8 August at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, starting at 12.00CET and 13.00CET respectively.
Both ceremonies will be conducted by UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino and UEFA Competitions Director Giorgio Marchetti.
UEFA Champions League
The ten teams involved in each of the champions route and the league route in the UEFA Champions League play-offs will be divided in equal number, with five clubs seeded and five unseeded in accordance with the UEFA club coefficient rankings to determine the pairings.
The matches will be played according to the knockout system, with the first legs taking place on 19 and 20 August, and the second legs on 26 and 27 August. Teams scoring the greater number of aggregate goals will qualify for the group stage of the competition, and the defeated teams will join the group phase of the UEFA Europa League.
UEFA Europa League
The 62 teams involved in the play-off draw in the UEFA Europa League will be divided into seeded and unseeded clubs to determine the pairings, and teams from the same association will not be drawn against each other.
The matches will be played according to the knockout system, with the first legs played on 21 August and the return legs taking place on 28 August. Teams scoring the greater number of aggregate goals will qualify for the next stage of the competition.
The final list of participating clubs will be published on UEFA.com ahead of the draw.
Media representatives wishing to attend the draws are requested to apply via email to email@example.com before midday on Thursday 7 August, mentioning 'Club draws' in the subject line.
Due to the high number of club representatives expected for the draws, only a restricted number of media representatives will be allowed to attend the draw in the auditorium.
The draws will be streamed live on UEFA.com.
