The Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation (NFSBiH) has received special recognition for the implementation of its grassroots programmes in 2012 during a ceremony hosted by the Bosnian Olympic Committee (OCBiH).
Held at the Olympic museum in Zetra, the evening ceremony to decide the country's best sportsman or woman of 2012 devoted a section to the NFSBiH's work in promoting activities across all areas of non-professional football. These activities – in soccer for youth, veterans, people with special needs and disabilities, orphans, the homeless, women and girls, and schools – were duly applauded.
The NFSBiH, a member of the UEFA Grassroots Charter since 2009, was acknowledged not only for the sporting role it plays through this grassroots work but also for its engagement in wider social responsibility and the development of friendship and sporting values.
