Fan choreography prize

UEFA is supporting a new competition that will reward European football's most creative fan choreography, the Football Supporters Europe ChoreoTrophy, and entries can be submitted.

UEFA is supporting a new competition that will reward European football's most creative fan choreography – the Football Supporters Europe (FSE) ChoreoTrophy – with the winners to be distinguished at the UEFA Champions League draw and attend the UEFA Super Cup in Monaco in August.

FSE is inviting all fan groups to take part in this first edition of the ChoreoTrophy, the first award created specifically for fan choreographies, and supporters have until 20 May to submit their entry.

The prize for the winners will be travel, accommodation and tickets for 11 members of the successful group for the UEFA Super Cup match on 31 August at Stade Louis II.

By setting up the ChoreoTrophy competition, FSE, with UEFA's backing, is recognising the huge contribution that football fans make to the spectacle of the sport on this continent with their creative support, both visual and acoustic.

Stadium choreographies and coordinated displays of support have become an important part of fan culture in most nations throughout Europe.

The FSE membership from 40 countries will be asked to select the 11 best submissions, which will then be put up for a finalists' vote on UEFA.com to spread the message far and wide. Everyone can participate in the UEFA.com vote, which will count for 50% of the total vote. The other 50% will be cast by delegates at the fifth European Football Fans' Congress in Istanbul, Turkey, between 13 and 15 July, with the winning entry to be announced on the final day of the FSE conference.

Interested parties will be asked to send in two high-resolution pictures of their choreography as well as the completed information sheet. Fan groups can submit a maximum of three 'choreos' each, all from the current 2011/12 season.

Applicants must subscribe to the FSE core principles and adhere to the regulations of the respective clubs or countries where their choreography was displayed.
