What they said

The best moment for me at Real Madrid until now was when we won the Liga title last season. It was the most difficult league in the world to win in my opinion. Furthermore, to have done so against rivals as strong as Barcelona and to have finished nine points ahead of them, that was fantastic.
The Portugal forward reflects on Madrid's title-winning campaign (July 2012)
I did my best, as I always do, so I'm satisfied with what I have done for the team. We have to be proud because we did what we had to do. We played well and deserved to be in the final.
Ronaldo summarises his and Portugal's EURO campaign following their semi-final loss on penalties to Spain (June 2012)
I have now scored on my last three visits [to the Camp Nou] and my goal tonight was an important one, but the crucial thing was that we won. Our team put on a great exhibition here and I would like to congratulate everyone involved because they deserved this win.
Ronaldo after scoring the winner against FC Barcelona, a victory which all but sealed the Liga title for Madrid (April 2012)
I don't care what other players do – I care about myself and my team, not goals. We are doing well. I'm happy for Messi and for football. I don't know if I could score five goals in a match. Maybe I could.
Ronaldo responds to a question about Lionel Messi's five-goal performance against Bayer 04 Leverkusen (March 2012)
