Pertti Alaja has been re-elected for a second four-year term as president of the Football Association of Finland (SPL-FBF).

Alaja was confirmed unanimously by delegates at the association’s 88th general assembly in Tampere. Alaja is 64 and first became SPL-FBF president in 2012.

"I am very happy and proud to continue as president,” he told delegates. "It feels good to be given this kind of confidence from the general assembly. I will now continue the work for the good of Finnish football. We have a new strategy that was approved this weekend, and we will now start executing it with the FA's staff."

Elections also took place for the association's vice-presidents. Consequently, Markku Lehtola will continue as first vice-president, while Kaarlo Kankkunen has been elected as the new second vice-president.
