French international Camille Abily has spoken of her aims after being named as one of five UEFA ambassadors for women's football development.

Joining UEFA.com's Matchday Live audio show, the Olympique Lyonnais midfielder explained her objectives to host Rob Daly and revealed how she hopes to achieve them.

Abily on aims as an ambassador
I want to try and bring to bear my experience, both as a player and from everything I went through as a young girl. In France, even since 2011, it's better, but before we had many difficulties and in some other countries it's even less important [to play women's football].

Abily on the advantages of having role models for aspiring players
Now women's football is recognised in many European countries. I think this [role] will give us a basis to talk about it more and inspire young girls to start playing.

Abily on the next steps
I would like to meet people who didn't know women's football and to share my experiences with them. If they didn't know it before, I hope they will know about it afterwards.
